Lovely, flinty reduction, featuring chervil, watercress and cumin. The palate has serene, concentrated, ripe, streamlined depth on a superslender body. This is understated an beautifully elegant.

Ganz klassische Pechstein Nase mit rauchiger Würze, süssem Steinobst und viel Charakter. Top Struktur am Gaumen, feiner Schmelz, viel Tiefgang.

Pechstein verwijst naar een gesteente van vulkanische oorsprong, peksteen, en de bodem van deze wijngaard bevat dan ook de verweerde resten van dit gesteente. Daarnaast bezit de bodem kalk en klei die er beide voor zorgen dat de bodem water goed vasthoudt en maar mondjesmaat aan de wijnstok levert. Hierdoor blijft het rendement met 35 hectoliter per hectare laag en kunnen de druiven uitstekend rijpen.

Proefnotitie

Krachtig en intens aroma: zuivere, fruitige riesling met ook iets van bâtonnage (toast-achtig). De smaak is fijn droog, fris en zeer aanhoudend. Complexe fraaie wijn!

Drinken bij

Lekker als aperitief of als grote wijn bij mooie vis of wit vlees.

Houdbaarheid

Grote riesling die jong gedronken kan worden, maar de volle complexiteit pas toont na een korte rijping.
